What is Satya Critical Care (SCC)? What does it conduct?
Satya Critical Care (SCC) is a learning and educational platform for critical care team (ICU doctors and nurses). It is an organization that aims to uplift level of critical care services and bonds ICU team by conducting focused and goal-directed learning-training programs.
SCC will also serve as a bonding and updating platform for critical care medicine expert doctors or interested doctors by means of monthly academic meeting. SCC can be an ideal learning place for critical care students pursuing courses like, IDCCM, IFCCM, EDIC, DrNB, IDCCN .
How did the concept germinate? The story behind...
Over the years (20+ yrs) in our ICU practice, we have observed that nurses and doctors on-site-duty are key red-flag bearers and life savers. Any relevant observation or timely action at bed-side could be the difference between life and death.
We have observed a wide variation in care (inconsistent, non-scientific to excellent evident-based care) in ICUs across the states.
With this observation and experience, the concept of Satya Critical Care (SCC) was born in mind as a first step towards achieving safe, uniform and standardized critical care for a hospital unit.
Courses Offered
SCC-BASIC - For ICU doctors and nurses.
SCC-ADVANCED - For critical care expert doctors and students (A monthly clinical meet).
SCC-BASIC - Course for whom?
This course is specially designed and focused for ICU on-duty doctors and nurses team. Hospital management, Intensivists or nursing in-charge can utilize this course to improve their doctors' and nurses' knowledge, skills, care, communication, and team performance. Even a doctor or a nurse can go for this course individually.
We, team-SCC, strongly feel that this course will be value-addition to your current ICU-CCU care, culture, quality and ultimately to the satisfaction.
SCC-BASIC: A highly recommended course...
If you feel, care & treatment provided in your ICU, by ICU doctors and nurses (ICUN) is incomplete, inconsistent or suboptimal. If their knowledge and communication skills are not adequate.
If nurses (ICUN) and on-duty doctors make small but frequent mistakes while executing treatment.
If your ICU have high ICUN attrition rate.
SCC-BASIC: Special features...
Teaching and training by critical care expert doctors who know what is clinically more important and relevant
Lectures by Intensivist doctors and optional speciality-specific, lecture by your hospital's interested faculty.
Pre-course screening for interested and committed ICU candidate (by prior questionnaire and communication)
Constant interaction and active engagement during course.
Post-course exit exam, grading and certification.

How do we do it, course SCC-BASIC?
2 lectures per week & 6 lectures per month
3 months course (12 weeks course) – Hence it is suitable for ICUs & candidates within close vicinity of Ahmedabad
Each topic session for 1 hr duration including lecture, interaction and question-answer session (covering total 18 topics in critical care medicine)
Lectures by intensivist doctors & other experts
Training on a fixed weekday of a week.
